Mitsubishi Installation at RTK Instruments, Knaresborough

RTK Instruments Ltd, Knaresborough were experiencing particular hot spots caused by solar gain on sunny days. Specific problems were being experienced in the File Server room and the Engineering department. The client requested that we shift the hot air from the void area above Engineering to solve the excessive heat being experienced by both staff and the equipment they use.

Following a site survey, and discussions on budget and specification details with the client a variety of Mitsubishi air conditioning equipment was proposed.

The MSZ-GA1VA Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pump System was installed in the File Server Room. This system has been completely redesigned by Mitsubishi and incorporates a new Catechin filter. The system also offers industry leading noise reduction levels.

Catechin is a bioflavid that is found in green tea, and contains both antiviral and antioxidant qualities. Catechin also offers excellent deodorising charecteristics. Mitsubishi Electric use this compound in its air conditioning filters to improve the air quality and to prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses in a room. The filter can be easily removed, and when the client undertakes a regular service and maintenance program with Etherington Air Conditioning, the filter will be washed regularly ensuring the deodorising effectiveness lasts for more than 10 years.

SLZ-KZ-VA four way blow cassesses were proposed in a variety of other offices due to the compact size of the unit, making them ideal for 600mm by 600mm ceilings with a depth of 208mm. The unit also comes complete with a long life filter that lasts approximately 2500 hours.

Finally Power Inverter Heat Pumps were installed in the General Office and Engineering Department.

All systems utilise R410a refrigerant and each room has individual room control via an LCD Controller.
